What Is Casual Dating
When someone wants to understand something deeply enough, he or she tries to find the genesis of that thing over its years of existence. In an attempt to understand dating, then we have to go back to those times it is believed that man began to exist.
Ever since there has been the art of writing, there have been records of love, dating, courting and marriage. All the issues surrounding these are explicit though they are barely organised. One cannot use past data about dating to predict their own future in dating.
However, such information is important in that people can relate in part with the issues and approximate their own solutions. For that reason, a definite and instructive definition of casual dating is difficult to manufacture. In spite of that, a look at perspectives would help.
How it starts
If you meet someone whom you think is attractive, your first reaction to that person is to say hi. If he or she responds extremely well to you then you find yourself thinking about that person more often than you think of your wife or girlfriend.
Let us say that you are able to stop thinking about the beautiful person you met after shaking your head and coming back to reality. Then a few days later, you meet the same person or he or she is introduced to you, then you conclude that it is fate.
If you are a conservative type, you try to brush it off only to find that all you do is think of that person more and more. No matter what you do you discover that you yearn for the company of that person regardless of the social norms about your situation. More or less that is how casual relationships start.
It has no particular form but it disguises itself as a problem solver giving that touch of warmth that may lack in committed relationships.
However, the more you see and interact with the person whom you are casually dating the more you value them and the more they become the ideal partners you are looking for. It is a perception that somehow manages to convince us that there can be dating without tensions.
Attributes That Contribute to its Advancement
- It is casual so there is no particular commitment.
- You probably go for coffee break with her or with him simply because he or she understands. That person does not demand from but you pay lunch bills for them and you start feeling a tinge of jealousy if they go out with someone else or if you discover that they are flirting with someone else.
- As much as you try to listen to the voice of reason that he or she is just a friend you realize that you are emotionally attached to her or him and you like to walk with her or, you ask her or him to find out what time they get off so that you can drive them. At the end of the day, all you want is to spend time with that person but you do not want to commit or you simply cannot commit because you are engaged with someone else. That is technically casual dating.
